President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska Davkova said at a briefing with journalists that North Macedonia has great support on international stage when it comes to its disputes with Bulgaria.
“The state clearly presented its arguments at bilateral and multilateral meetings, as well as before representatives of the EU. Recently, we received messages of support from the Visegrad Group and from Belgium, which state that ‘You’ve done enough, now it’s our turn.’ The international community faced for the first time good arguments on behalf of our country, something the previous government never did,” Siljanovska Davkova said.
She also added that amendments to the Constitution are not foreseen in the Agreement with Bulgaria and this was clearly told to Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, and qualified the requests to change the Constitution and bring in the Bulgarians as a precedent and interference of the international community in the internal affairs the state.
