In an interview with Sitel, President Stevo Pendarovski says that he expects support from all ethnic communities for a second term.
As he points out, one cannot become the President if they don’t get broad citizen support.
Regarding VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski’s comments that VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, will have a lead of over 100,000 votes in the first round, Pendarovski points out that Mickoski hasn’t made any predictions about the second round.
“All their predictions are based on the first round. In a situation when there are seven candidates, nobody has ever become the President in the first round. So, the polls I am aware of, of which VMRO-DPMNE is aware, too, show I will surely defeat their candidate,” Pendarovski notes.
