On Monday, President Stevo Pendarovski met with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer. They talked about the process of transformation, equipping, and modernisation of North Macedonia’s Army, as well as about participation in international operations and exercises.
There was also a discussion on the cooperation between North Macedonia and NATO, current regional and security issues, the situation in Ukraine, and the role of the alliance in the defence of the Ukrainian people against the Russian aggression. In that regard, President Pendarovski reaffirmed support for Ukraine and its people.
The same day, Admiral Bauer also met with Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani as well. The situation related to Ukraine was among the topics of discussion at that meeting, too. They also focused on the current state of affairs in the Western Balkans.
