In the frames of the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit, on Wednesday, President Stevo Pendarovski met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky.
They discussed the latest developments in Ukraine and the opportunities to deepen cooperation aiming at supporting the Ukrainian people and restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the frames of its internationally recognised borders.
At the meeting, Pendarovski reaffirmed the stand that North Macedonia has condemned Russia’s aggression since the start, joined the Crimea Platform, adopted the Declaration condemning the military attacks jeopardising Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, joined the Joint Declaration of the G7 for support for Ukraine, the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, and supported the formation of the Special Tribunal that will investigate and prosecute crimes of aggression committed by Russia.
Ukraine’s President expressed gratitude for the firm position and overall support for his country coming from North Macedonia.
