President Siljanovska Davkova Attends Sofia Opera and Ballet Performance

Gordana Siljanovska Davkova’s first public appearance as the President was at the 52nd edition of the May Music Evenings, on Saturday, at the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje.

Before the premiere of an opera performed by the Sofia Opera and Ballet, she told Bulgarian media her decision to attend the Sofia Opera and Ballet’s performance was a sign of friendship.

“This is a step. I enjoy cultural diplomacy and believe it is more powerful than traditional diplomacy,” she stated. The President also met director Plamen Kartalov.
