In the frames of her participation in COP29 in Baku, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met with Hungarian PM Viktor Orban.
“At the meeting, there was a discussion on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, both politically and economically, and on the Macedonian EU membership aspirations.
It was established at the meeting that Hungary remained a strong supporter of the Macedonian integration path. In that context, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed gratitude for Hungary’s support in multiple areas, including our country’s European aspirations, as well as the fact that the enlargement matter is high on the agenda of the current EU Presidency of Hungary.
As a country, we see no alternative to integration and full-fledged membership, the President highlighted, expressing also hope about a fair EU accession process that will respect the Macedonian citizens’ dignity”, her Cabinet said in a press-release issued on Tuesday.
