On Thursday, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler.
At the meeting, there was a discussion on the opportunities to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries, on North Macedonia’s EU path, and on potentials offered by the Strategic Dialogue to concretise bilateral cooperation.
The President expressed gratitude for the overall support from the US, highlighting the readiness to further deepen the two countries’ friendship and mutual support aiming at achievement of North Macedonia’s goals regarding its foreign policy.
“The President highlighted that, as a stable partner and proven ally of the US within NATO, we remained focused on common orientations about security, freedom, and democratic prosperity, with active participation in common activities in the fight against terrorism and other threats to world peace.
Highlighting that EU integration had a positive impact on democratic and economic consolidation of countries from the region, the President stressed the need for accelerated EU integration. In that regard, she pointed out that the EU membership accession process had to be meritoriously valorised,” the Cabinet said.
