President Siljanovska Davkova: Optimism over EU Path Realistic and Rational

Regarding PM Hristijan Mickoski’s stand that an increasing number of countries understand North Macedonia’s position and are seeking a solution that will not come at the country’s expense, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, too, said on Friday that the optimism that the country would start EU negotiations was realistic and rational.

In her view, the matter is becoming one of regional nature because the integration halt is negatively impacting both countries in the region and the EU itself. Deputy PM Aleksandar Nikoloski, too, believes that the meeting between Mickoski and French President Emmanuel Macron in Budapest event, is a significant step forward.
