Presidential Race: Latest Developments

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, when it comes to the procedure to collect signatures for Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, called on Monday on citizens to head to the State Election Commission’s offices and sign on 3 March. He believes that the 10,000 signatures will be collected in several hours.

When it comes to DUI itself, the candidate endorsed by the party, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, said he had collected the required 10,000 signatures to officially be a presidential candidate. University professor Biljana Vankovska, who’s collecting signatures to be Levica’s candidate, said in an interview with A1on that citizens needed a vocal President, adding that she would not allow the Government or the Minister to notify her that they were signing some agreement.

“I claim that the Prespa Agreement can be changed. But I will not now say how. Nothing is forever. Neither the Prespa Agreement nor the Ohrid Framework one,” Vankovska pointed out.
