Prizma: Three of Four Bidders were Connected to Mijalkov

Agency for Management of Confiscated Assets documents show that three of the four bidders for the Vodno flats confiscated from ex-secret police chief Saso Mijalkov are connected to the Mijalkovs, Prizma reported on Wednesday.

In addition to Best Way Investment, owned by Saso’s son, Jordan, which won, the bidding process saw also the participation of Ompetrol Oil, a daughter company of Best Way Investments, but also Aleksandra Bela Belceva, who’s the sister of Jordan’s wife.

BIRN found no connection to Mijalkov’s family regarding the fourth bidder. When the Vodno property was being sold last year, the only information was that there were intimidations during the sale.
