Prosecutor Bubevski: Gjorcevska’s Father has Denied Involvement

The father of Vanja Gjorcevska, the 14-year-old missing girl killed on 27 November, has denied involvement in the case.

“Perhaps something will change and has changed. The father still denies these activities. So, we still draw his involvement, which we still consider to be direct in this case, to the context of what the other people involved in the case are saying,” Prosecutor Gavril Bubevski of the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office said.

According to him, there is information that the mother had sold some flat. “We think the funds from that flat were some motive that was supposed to be the subject to the extortion. We will check all of this during the procedure,” Bubevski stressed.

The father was on Monday evening taken to the Criminal Court, which accepted the 48-hour detention proposal.
