Prosecutor’s Office: Samarakov was Trying to Get 50,000 Euros in Exchange for Secret Information

According to the investigation, Angel Samarakov, member of PM Hristijan Mickoski’s security detail, was trying to get 50,000 euros in exchange for secret information. Prosecutors have said that in the car, he was showing documents to a witness in the procedure.

“In the capacity of official person, the suspect, on the evening of 30 March 2025, at the parking area outside a hotel in Veles, met an unsummoned person, a witness in the procedure, and showed him official documents of the Interior Ministry that represent an official secret. At the same time, he allowed the witness to record them, telling him which document concerned what.

This way, the suspect, for self-interest, in order for them to be published on social media, made available official documents that represent an official secret in order to get a monetary amount of 50,000 euros from the person the documents concerned”, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption said on Tuesday.
