Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi had a meeting on Tuesday with newly appointed EU Ambassador to North Macedonia Michalis Rokas.
The interlocutors voiced pledges for cooperation, as well as hope that the institutions of the EU will retain the positive mood for enlargement after the European Parliament elections.
Gashi and Rokas agreed that the country need to proceed with the implementation of reforms necessary for the integration of North Macedonia in the EU, especially in the field of adapting the EU legislative.
Ambassador Rokas said that his main goal is to help the country make meaningful steps towards EU integration, emphasising the importance of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the opportunities it offers for strengthening state institutional capacities for EU integration.
