Public Security Bureau Addresses Closing Part of IACP Conference

At the closing part of the IACP 2024 Annual Conference Public Security Bureau Director Aleksandar Janev participated in a panel discussion on cross-border cooperation in the region.

He underlined the importance of close cooperation with neighbours, based on the principles of transparency, confidence, and unselfish commitment to fight crime together.

“One of the most efficient ways to carry out investigations is to set up joint investigative teams, in the frames of which enhanced police-prosecutorial cooperation between involved countries is a key factor for success in investigations and bringing perpetrators to justice. Also, a case was presented through which participants and international partners were able to get familiar from up close with how police cooperation in coordination of the Prosecutor’s Offices of Macedonia and Kosovo functions,” the Interior Ministry said.
