Resolutions Issue: French Ambassador Says North Macedonia’s Decision was Unexpected

On Wednesday, French Ambassador Christophe Le Rigoleur said North Macedonia’s decision to abstain with regards to the two Ukraine resolutions and cosponsor the US one was unexpected.

According to him, the topic about the value Europe attaches today to territorial integrity, about respecting sovereignty, about a country’s imperialism against its neighbour to the extent that the latter’s existence, identity, and language is denied is one that requires a single European response.
