Nakje Culev from VMRO-DPMNE confirmed in an interview for web portal Kurir.mk that he will be nominated for the position of Interior Minister in the caretaker government that will become effective on 28 January.
“One of the first things I will do once I assume office will be to conduct an internal revision about the case with the double murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski, and to initiate disciplinary procedures against any MoI employees responsible of eventual errors and irregularities in the investigation of this case. According to our information, MoI could’ve conducted this investigation much more successfully, to such extent that maybe even they could’ve managed to prevent the murder and even the kidnapping of Gjorcevska,” Culev said.
The caretaker government will become effective on 28 January, once PM Dimitar Kovacevski and PS Taalt Xhafer resign from their current positions so that Xhaferi is appointed caretaker PM.
