On Friday, State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) President Tatjana Dimitrovska, who’s been named a suspect and issued measures of precaution in the Additive case, didn’t come to work. Her co-workers didn’t comment on the investigation opened against her.
“Today, the SCPC President is absent from work. Regarding the procedure, it’s being carried out before relevant organs, according to the law. The SCPC, in the frames of its legal competences, has continued to function regularly”, the institution pointed out.
Though the measures against Dimitrovska include a ban on carrying out certain job activities related to the crime she’s suspected of, that doesn’t prevent her from going to work. However, it has fully limited her from working on cases.
“This measure, in the concrete case, implies that the suspect must not have contact with cases, mail, and other documentation related to the SCPC’s work. At the same time, she cannot vote and assign cases”, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption said.
Telma has learned that Dimitrovska’s phone has been taken away and that prosecutors will extract data from the device. The further course of the investigation will depend on what will be found during that process.
The Office has found the evidence linking her to the Additive case as a result of its expertise of the phone of former Negotino plant head Nebojsa Stojanovic, who’s among those charged in the case.
Last summer, Telma reported that the SCPC had opened a case on the managerial contracts of former members of the Negotino plant’s Managing Board, including Stojanovic. They received severance pay and new jobs at ESM. The SCPC has now told Telma it’s still taking action regarding the case.
On Thursday, the Office said another two persons had been named suspects in the Additive case as well, that is, an employee of a company covered in the process and another former head of the Negotino plant. The former and latter have been issued a 30-day detention and precautionary measures, respectively.
