On Monday, the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) has stated it has started an anti-corruption check of legislation concerning areas such as protection and rescue, inspection supervision, local self-government, hospitality, aiming to detect and prevent corruption and potential risks of corruption in processes related to issue approvals and licenses to operate, operations permits to hospitality venues, as well as in the area of supervision over them concerning.
The same day, the Public Revenue Office (PRO), regarding the Kocani fire, said the Pulse nightclub (that functioned under the MMMM Kafe DOOEL) hadn’t been issued a temporary ban on operations in December 2024.
The institution added the legal entity had been just fined in 2023 for an issue with registration of cash payments. However, the company’s account has been blocked since August.
“It’s still unclear how a facility with a blocked account carried out the activity and organized parties with performances by singers and bands”, Telma said.
