SCPC to Initiate Misdemeanour Proceedings against Xhaferi and Demiri

Parliament doesn’t find it problematic that despite the verification of their MP mandates, Talat Xhaferi and Ilir Demiri will continue to serve as caretaker PM and Health Minister, respectively, until the election of the new government.

According to the legislative house, they will perform only the most essential functions in order for continuity to be provided with regards to the Government’s work.

Parliament’s stand is that there were similar situations in 1998, 2002, and 2006. The SCPC will, however, initiate misdemeanour proceedings and is currently getting the required materials.
