SDSM again Labels Kocani Fire Investigation ‘Selective’

On Wednesday, SDSM again criticised the course of the investigation into the Kocani fire.

“The latest published information that former police officers have been detained, five of whom have already retired, proves the investigation is selective”, the party said.

In that regard, it asked why Marija Cvetkovska Manevska, Chief of the Kocani Internal Affairs Department, Tomo Donev, Chief of Kocani’s Criminalistic Police, and the Chiefs of the Stip Internal Affairs Sector and Criminalistics Police in the city were not covered by the investigation.

“This represents humiliation of justice and selective protection of officials close to [Interior Minister] Toskovski and [VMRO-]DPMNE”, SDSM added.
