SDSM Alleges Nepotism over Tender, General and Common Affairs Service Head Tomovski Refutes Accusations

SDSM presented on Tuesday information about a “major relative-corruption scandal” involving the Director of the Government’s General and Common Affairs Service, Ivica Tomovski.

According to the opposition party, a relative of Tomovski, Vlase Tanaskoski, in October of last year, became the manager of the Ohrid branch of a security company, Praetorian, that had won a tender from the Service worth 3.5 million euros, during the tender procedure.

“The tender was opened on 10 October 2024. Up to that point, Aneta Jarceva had been the manager. However, just eight days later, on 18 October, while the tender was underway, Tanaskoski, a relative of Praetorian entered the company”, SDSM said.

The party claimed that the branch’s address matched the seat of Gaso Plast, a company owned by another relative of Tomovski. However, Tomovski denied all accusations, saying he and the owners of the company weren’t relatives.
