SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE Continue Accusations over Jakimovski Blacklisting

SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE have continued to confront stands since the blacklisting of Karpos Mayor and GROM presidential candidate Stevco Jakimovski and ex-Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva.

VMRO-DPMNE cited on Tuesday the already existing Law on International Cooperation, with MP Antonio Milososki saying that the SDSM-DUI government was afraid of using its mechanisms.

“The Government, the Justice Minister, and the Prosecutor’s Office, if they have the political will to seriously fight corruption, have valid legal grounds, without delay, to send, through the Justice Ministry, letters rogatory to the relevant organs of the US for all documents, papers, evidence, and information about Ramiz Merko, Janeva, Jakimovski, and other blacklisted persons to be submitted,” he said on social media.

On the other hand, SDSM leader Dimitar Kovacevski accused Milososki and VMRO-DPMNE of blocking the procedure to pass the restrictive measures law, which would see blacklisted persons banned from holding public office.
