SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE Continue to Trade Accusations over Fake News Issue

Despite the reactions from VMRO-DPMNE, the head of the Political Research Institute, Vladimir Bozinovski, and the public broadcaster, SDSM has maintained its stand on the alleged fake news plan.

“VMRO-DPMNE has used the same forms of action and abuse of state resources, as well as propaganda, from the most glorious days of Nikola Gruevski. That means a system of abuse for which there must be liability and action by relevant institutions,” the party said on Thursday.

In response, VMRO-DPMNE asked whether the fake documents presented by SDSM were created by Israeli strategist Assaf Eisen and whether the goal of his hiring was an anti-election and anti-state one.

Commenting on the matter, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Commission tasked with monitoring electoral irregularities stated that all information being presented publicly was being followed and that it had received a notification from the interior Ministry regarding a criminal charge regarding the fake news case, filed by three persons.
