Monday saw accusations traded between SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE over Revolutionary Struggle Day.
“Fake patriotism brings isolation of the country, uncertainty, economic stagnation, and empty pockets and fridges for citizens. Fake patriotism and the blockade of the European path leads to a new exodus and emigration of youth, to endangerment of the Macedonian identity. That’s why the anti-European agenda is an anti-Macedonian one. That’s too high of a price the citizens may pay,” SDSM MP and Spokesperson Darko Kaevski said.
In response, VMRO-DPMNE MP Dafina Stojanoska the issue of the Macedonian national identity had been opened by “some other” people.
“However, we have the obligation to prevent it from being lost. I would tell all citizens that they shouldn’t worry because as long as VMRO-DPMNE, as a party that continues the idea for an independent and free Macedonia, exists, we will continue and persevere as Macedonians,” she noted.
