SDSM Appeals to Ljutkov to Resign as Culture and Tourism Minister

On Monday, SDSM urged Zoran Ljutkov to resign as Culture and Tourism Minister due to his “disastrous management” of culture, i.e. because he has left over 3,000 workers in that sector without their pay for Easter and he’s announcing that there would be “a sale of cultural heritage” under concession.

“This is the bottom. This is the institutional negligence with regards to culture, workers in culture, and our cultural heritage. Does [VMRO-]DPMNE want Macedonian holy places to end up in others’ portfolios in order for someone to personally profit? Is this disintegration of culture the new normal? SDSM is on the side of citizens”, the opposition party said, adding that the Minister should also backtrack on his comments about “privatisation of cultural heritage”.

In response, VMRO-DPMNE said SDSM was spreading fake news and disinformation.
