At a press-conference on Tuesday, SDSM Spokesperson Bogdanka Kuzeska said there was a new dimension when it came to the “scandal” involving the real estate Government Secretary-General Igor Janusev had received as a gift from his parents.
The real estate worth 325,000 euros is part of a building in Centar, she stressed, adding that Interior Minister Pance Toskovski, too, had an apartment and business premises in the same building, covering areas of 146 and 46 square metres, respectively.
Kuzeska asked how the gift for Janusev and Toskovski’s property were connected, whether the two politicians were covering up some business deal, and whether Toskovski had included the information about that property in his declaration of assets.
In response, Janusev said SDSM’s “smear campaign” was unfounded.
Toskovski too refuted the accusations. The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption has formed a case over the Janusev matter.
