SDSM-VMRO-DPMNE Accusations over IPARD Case Continue

SDSM has described as ridiculous comments by PM Mickoski that IPARD III payments had been temporarily stopped upon a request of his.

As the party points out, neither the PM nor a minister nor a party can do so according to the law and procedure, i.e. that’s done by the National Officer for Authorization that, despite acting in the frames of the Finance Ministry, works independently according to EU-prescribed rules and standards.

That means that the Officer doesn’t act upon an order from the Government or Mickoski, but rather, exclusively, following a signal from the EC or following an internal risk assessment regarding the payment control system, Filipche’s party stresses.

In response, VMRO-DPMNE said SDSM was lying, pointing to the EU Delegation’s statement that it welcomed the decision by national institutions to suspend all IPARD III payments.
