SDSM’s Filipce Says Country’s Currently Fully Stuck on EU Path

SDSM leader Venko Filipce has said the country’s currently fully stuck on the EU path.

“The government hasn’t been doing anything regarding the integration process. They came to power with a pompous announcement that they’d be changing the negotiating framework, but we’re seeing that that’s obviously not happening”, he pointed out on Thursday.

In the opposition leader’s view, what’s worrying is the deterioration of relations with neighbours. That, Filipce added, is not in the spirit of Europe and good inter-neighbourly relations.

“We’re seeing no activity in that area by the Foreign Ministry. There are some visits to Australia that have nothing to do with the most important currently for the country, the European future. I don’t know what the plan and idea is. I hope they have some plan and some work is being done, even if it’s behind the scenes”, the SDSM leader stressed.
