Sitel: Venice Commission Representative to Be Invited to Constitutional Court’s Preparatory Session

Sitel has learned that a Venice Commission representative will be invited to the preparatory session on the Law on Languages announced on Thursday by the Constitutional Court.

The representative will need to explain the body’s final opinion, which should come at some point in mid-March following the remarks already issued over the matter of bilingual uniforms and money, the TV station added in the report.

In addition, domestic experts in constitutional law will participate in the preparatory session that will be held towards the end of March, Court sources told Sitel.

Also on Thursday, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova said the Court’s decision to postpone the debate and for the final decision to be preceded by a preparatory session was expected and right.

“I am making this assessment in the capacity of attorney, not of President”, she nonetheless added.
