Danela Arsovska has described LDP’s initiative for a referendum to dismiss her as Skopje Mayor as highly unserious.
“It’s unserious for me to comment on statements by satellite parties,” she stated.
The initiative follows the decoration of the capital, especially the Christmas tree. Arsovska stated that the decoration cost 30,000 euros, whereas previous such activities had cost 300,000. However, she didn’t say whether a company had been hired and why a tender hadn’t been scheduled even though the law says she has to do so concerning procurement processes over 1,000 euros.
The Prosecutor’s Office, too, has voiced a stand, saying that if the Financial Police Administration, the institution in charge of looking into the allegations about where the City’s funds have ended up, doesn’t open a case, its prosecutors will do so and make the checks.
