Slovenian Parliament Speaker Zupancic Pays Official Visit to North Macedonia

President of the Parliament of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupancic, started Wednesday afternoon her official visit to North Macedonia. Zupancic was received by her counterpart, Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi.

After their bilateral meeting, they stated at a press conference that Slovenia remains strong supporter of the Euro-integration processes of North Macedonia.

“Our countries are very close friends and partners, and we support your progress in the Euro-Atlantic processes and all initiatives for creation of suitable economic area and suitable and just legislature, which are two key elements of our cooperation, and I am convinced that with these focuses we will make initiatives for improvement of our cooperation during this visit”, Zupancic said.

Parliament Speaker Gashi pointed out the importance of processes like Brdo-Brijuni for the integration of North Macedonia in the EU, as well as the technical assistance the country receives from Slovenia in this process.

The interlocutors reaffirmed the good bilateral relations between the two countries, based upon friendship, economic cooperation and honest ties between the people of the two countries.
