Оn his official email address, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi has received a threat. The case has been reported to the Interior Ministry, which said on Tuesday there was action upon the matter.
According to some media reports, Gashi received the threat over the constitutional changes issue, that is, after the 17 February interview with the 360 Stepeni (360 Degrees) show, where he’d said that after the election of a new government in Bulgaria, a process to solve the dispute could start, but some major success in the talks couldn’t be expected right away.
In the threat, the sender says there will be “hanging and slaughtering of everything Bulgarian, fascist” and that people will enter Parliament and kill all those in favour of Bulgarians if the changes are made.
Also on Tuesday, police said Kavadarci Mayor Mitko Jancev had reported he’d received threats.
“M.J reported that, on social media and by phone, N.J., had been making threats against him”, the Veles Internal Affairs Sector said.
