State Facilities, too, Among Ones not Meeting Required Conditions to Operate

PM Hristijan Mickoski said on Tuesday that state facilities, too, were among those not meeting required conditions to operate, with some of them being pre-school institutions, schools, and nursing homes.

When it comes to the issue of a moratorium regarding owners of hospitality venues announced by him the previous day, the PM explained that he’d been referring to the period they would be granted to remove inconsistencies or do something to adjust.

Also on Tuesday, the Ministry of Economy said it was drawing up draft-changes to the hospitality legislation. If adopted, they will introduce higher fines for those violators, as well as checks of minimum technical conditions by the Market Inspectorate before an operations license is issued.

The same day, the Government adopted draft-changes and amendments to seven laws under the Transport and Communications Ministry’s competence. If adopted, there will be a legal obligation to check all license holders.
