The Supreme Court has presented its decision rejecting the appeal by Aleksandar Gjorcevski, who’s among the suspects in the murder of his daughter, Vanja, to abolish the detention measure against him.
The type, gravity, and way in which the crime was committed, the foreseen sentence, and the fact that Gjorcevski is unemployed are among the circumstances indicating a danger of him fleeing to avoid criminal prosecution and being held criminally liable.
Considering the investigative procedure hasn’t been completed in full, there still is justified fear and real danger of the person obstructing the criminal procedure by influencing witnesses and other suspects, as well as of covering up evidence, according to the Court, which also has assessed there is a justified fear of Gjorcevski committing the act again.
