Arben Taravari, who heads one of the two wings of Alliance for Albanians, has told Kanal 5 that his partnership with the other three parties part of VLEN (Democratic Movement, BESA, and Alternative) has ended. However, as he explained on Thursday, he will continue to be part of the ruling cabinet.
Asked whether the end of his time as VLEN co-leader would result in some changes regarding his participation in the ruling structure, Taravari stated he would meet PM Hristijan Mickoski in the coming days.
As far as the issue of potential collaboration with DUI is concerned, the Health Minister didn’t give a precise answer. However, BESA President, VLEN co-leader, and Tetovo Mayor Bilal Kasami said that Taravari’s plans wouldn’t cause problems for the ruling majority.
“You yourself heard when Taravari himself said that he wasn’t ready to leave the ruling coalition. However, there are offers, requests, and talks with other political factors from the opposition that are ready to be part of the ruling majority. So, I think this situation will not shake the government. On the contrary, the ruling majority will be even bigger”, he noted.
