Taravari’s Had Secret Meetings with DUI and Oligarchs, Mexhiti Says

On Wednesday, 1^st Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti alleged fellow VLEN co-leader Arben Taravari had had secret meetings with DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and oligarchs. As he added, Taravari’s “secret operation” has lasted for two months already.

“The public will very soon find out details of the attempt to disintegrate VLEN”, Mexhiti also said.

According to him, in the local elections, VLEN will have joint lists of candidates for council seats and mayoral races, without Taravari’s Alliance for Albanians wing. In that regard, Mexhiti said Taravari had already struck a deal with DUI and thus “self-excluded” himself from VLEN.

“We will form in the coming days the election HQs for the local elections”, the VLEN co-leader stressed.

The coalition, Mexhiti emphasised, has proof of Taravari’s “secret meetings and deals” with Ahmeti and oligarchs.

Mexhiti made those comments without mentioning the name of Pucko Petrol owner Asmir Jahoski, son of former DUI MP and ex-Plasnica Mayor Ismail Jahoski, Libertas said in its report.
