Experts Irfan Shaqiri and Rubin Boskovski were among those that testified in Thursday’s hearing in the trial over the 2021 Tetovo modular hospital fire.
Shaqiri, an electrical engineer, regarding the electricity installation, stated that it had been set up by two employees of Tetovo’s Clinical Hospital.
In his view, the process to connect the electricity from the main transformer to the modular hospital was carried out without compliance with any standards and without a scheme, while, because many devices were plugged into the extension cord, there was a fuse, which caused a fire.
Rubin Boskovski, who works at the Interior Ministry, stated that according to the analyses, the flammable materials had been used to construct the facility. The hearing again saw questions raised about a lack of fire extinguishers.
