TRIKAFTA has arrived. It is already at the Children’s Diseases Clinic. The procurement is worth 100 million denars, will cover the next three months.
Additionally, 854 million denars are provided for the medicine for 2024 and 2025. At a press-conference on Thursday, Health Minister Fatmir Mexhiti stated that cystic fibrosis patients were gradually joining the therapy process.
The decision on therapy is made according to protocol and precise evaluation criteria. The list of patients has been drawn up by an expert commission. In the coming days, Mexhiti will appoint a new Children’s Diseases Clinic Director because the current head, Stojka Naceva-Fustic, is retiring.
