Turkish FM Fidan Meets PM Mickoski, PS Gashi

PM Hristijan Mickoski hosted on Thursday Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, who paid an official visit to North Macedonia.

Mickoski and Fidan had a bilateral meeting, at which they reaffirmed the good and friendly relations between North Macedonia and Turkiye. PM Mickoski said that the two countries nourish excellent cooperation in political and in economic terms.

“Turkiye is a great friend and supporter of ours, and the Turkish community living in our country makes very significant contributions to the development of our society,” Mickoski underlined.

He and Fidan also emphasised the importance of the stability of the region, adding that the diplomacy remains crucial for resolution of conflicts.

Later on Thursday, Turkish FM Fidan also had a meeting with Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi, with whom he discussed the relations between the two countries on parliamentary level.

PS Gashi extended gratitude to Turkish FM Fidan and the people of Turkiye for all the support provided for different projects conducted in the country in cooperation with the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA).

PS Gashi also announced that he is set to visit Turkiye in October 2024.
