Two Arrested in Separate Fire Cases

A 77-year-old from Prilep, P.P., has been arrested in a fire case.

“At around 11 am on Tuesday, it was reported that a fire had broken out covering an area of 300 square metres near Prilep, after P.P., previously, in the yard of his weekend house, set fire, in two metal barrels, to unnecessary things and garbage.

However, the fire spread around. It was localised by the Prilep Territorial Fire-Fighting Unit. Nobody was injured. Once the case is documented, the perpetrator will be charged,” the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.

The same day, the institution also said a 38-year-old from Velesta, too, would be charged with causing a fire, which had been put out, in the village district.

Wednesday also saw fire-fighters localise a dry grassland fire near the Railway Station in Skopje, behind Dimitar Vlahov Secondary School, and put under control another two fires, near Vizbegovo and in Sopiste Municipality.
