On Sunday, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova delivered an address the plenary session of the Ukraine Peace Summit, held in Switzerland. As she pointed out, Ukraine is exposed to great human suffering and destruction, Europe’s security architecture is under threat, while, at a global level, the lives of millions are impacted by the severe economic consequences.
“We condemn, in the strongest way possible, the unprovoked and unjustified aggressive war by Russia and support Ukraine in the best way possible, even more than what our limited capacities, resources permit,” the President stated.
Just peace, the President stated, must be rooted in the principles of the UN Charter concerning sovereignty and territorial integrity. According to the President, compromises over international law and principles may compromise European and even world peace and security.
North Macedonia was among the 80 countries that signed the Summit’s Joint Communiqué.
