The process related to DUI’s no-confidence motion against Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski may fail.
Namely, though the issue is on Parliament’s agenda on Wednesday, at Monday’s coordination meeting, almost all Parliamentary Groups said it was not good for the legislative house to interfere in the judicial power, according to Speaker Afrim Gashi.
However, citing Articles 72 and 47 of the Constitution and Rules of Procedure, respectively, he said he couldn’t remove the item from the agenda.
“Due to the Parliamentary Groups’ dilemmas over whether a no-confidence motion is possible against Kostadinovski, some of the MPs proposing, at the session itself, that the item be removed from the agenda is not being ruled out”, Gashi explained.
The coordination meeting was not attended by a representative of DUI. VMRO-DPMNE has said that it is yet to decide what action it will take during Wednesday’s session.
