On Wednesday, US Ambassador Angela Aggeler welcomed the editors, journalists, and staff of Investigative Reporting Lab (IRL) to the Embassy.
As she said in a post on X (formerly Twitter), she was delighted to “welcome the “group” of journalists, editors & staff” and “recognise their hard work to provide the people of North Macedonia the information they need to understand events and forces that shape their lives.”
She also said that to suggest IRL are not journalists in service to their country is nonsense. “Definition of Journalism: gathering, assessing, creating & presenting news & information,” the Ambassador wrote, applauding IRL’s “commitment to exposing the harmful effects of corruption in Macedonian communities”.
