US Official O’Brien: Blacklist Part of Broader Strategy to Fight Corruption

The blacklist is part of a broader strategy to fight corruption, while the US expects that there will be a change in behaviour of the designated persons.

That was the message sent on Monday in Skopje by James O’Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs regarding the blacklist.

“Our goal is to see a change in behaviour by the individuals on the list and by those associated with them. That sometimes means more names get added to the list or people come off the list. The list’s a tool as part of a broader strategy,” he said.
