On Sunday, Afrona Vervizolli was dismissed as General IPA Auditor.
Arben Ramadani, an independent auditor in the Audit Advancement Sector, is the new, acting, General IPA Auditor.
He has participated in preparation of strategic documents, short-term and long-term strategic plans in the audit body’s development and audit, and he has followed their implementation. He has also worked as a senior auditor in the IPA Audit Sector too, the Government said.
The Government had announced the previous day that Vervizolli would be dismissed.
“At the same time, we point out that it’s also necessary to pay attention to the open abuse of EU money and funds available that were present in the past period, over which there is a trace, in writing, from OLAF, which, as a result of such work, is requesting the state to pay several million euros,” it added.
