VLEN doesn’t Consider Taravari Should Continue to Be Part of Government

VLEN doesn’t consider that Health Minister Arben Taravari, head of one of the two Alliance for Albanians’ wings, should continue to be part of the cabinet.

1st Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti, has sent a message to PM Hristijan Mickoski, that is, he has said that is no more room for meetings with Taravari because the Health Minister has failed to keep his word, even though that is one of the main pillars of the code of honour among ethnic Albanians.

Following Monday’s meeting, Mickoski said he would meet Taravari again in one month, while the Health Minister stated that he would consult the wing’s leadership. On the other hand, the DUI-led European Front has said that VLEN’s participation in the cabinet is humiliating and inferior, which is why early parliamentary elections are needed as a way out of the situation. Regarding the local elections, the Front will have joint candidate lists. The Front is open to collaboration with Taravari, too.
