VLEN: DUI Devised Plot to Return Gruevski to North Macedonia

VLEN member Driton Sulejmani stated on Monday that members of SDSM and DUI have been involved in an alleged plot for the return of former PM Nikola Gruevski to the country.

“Ali Ahmeti, Artan Grubi, Bujar Osmani and several other members of DUI were part of this great conspiracy for a return of Gruevski. A meeting took place at the presidential residence on Vodno this March, which also included former President Stevo Pendarovski and former PM Dimitar Kovacevski, once again discussing eventual return of Gruevski.

At this meeting, Ahmeti claimed there are two ways for Gruevski to return, either with a pardon from the President, or with the help of, as he called them, ‘our people in the judiciary’. After this, DUI attempted to pressure the Supreme Court into making decisions for Gruevski to return, but when Court President Besa Ademi resisted this, they initiated a procedure for her dismissal,” Sulejmani said.
