VLEN has reacted to comments made by Ziadin Sela, head of one of the Alliance for Albanians wings, who denied he was communicating with VLEN co-leader Izet Mexhiti about leaving the DUI-led coalition, National Alliance for Integration, and joining the ruling structure.
Stressing, in its press-release on Thursday, that Sela was hungry for attention, it added that the attempts to create a situation in Struga were associated with the DUI-led coalition.
According to VLEN, any attempt to associate it or the candidate endorsed by it in the Struga mayoral race, Mendi Qyra, with any type of artificial tension is false and completely illogical from a political standpoint.
“Why would the coalition or candidate that’s the favourite to win the 2 November elections create tensions? The political logic is simple. The one that is in despair is trying to create non-existing situations to portray himself as a victim in the eyes of voters, a strategy that benefits the candidate of Ziadin Sela and Levica, Arsim Dalipi. The entire public knows cooperation between the National Alliance for Integration and Levica is obvious in both Tetovo and Struga”, VLEN noted.
