In response to Venko Filipce’s comments on the Ukraine resolutions issue, VMRO-DPMNE said on Wednesday that the SDSM leader was rushing and drawing wrong conclusions.
The ruling party’s leader, PM Hristijan Mickoski, reacted, too, saying the decision to abstain had been aligned with the US, whose resolution had ultimately been adopted by the Security Council.
“When the time to vote on the resolution came, several amendments were submitted at the Assembly itself. The majority of them were rejected, one was accepted. Then, the proponent, the US, with which we were fully coordinated and which has that right, abstained, as did we”, he noted.
