VMRO-DPMNE Asks Questions over CATO System Issue

At a press-conference on Tuesday over the Oncology Clinic case, VMRO-DPMNE Spokesperson Naum Stoilkovski asked whether the CATO system had been disconnected in order for there to be crime with fatal consequences.

“The abuse of cytostatics and therapy at the Clinic is a mega-crime with fatal consequences, criminal association for stealing medicines from cancer patients in order for those medicines to be sold illegally. That is impossible without political support and secured impunity. The Oncology Clinic is the only clinic in the world that has a CATO system for control of therapies that hasn’t used it for six years. The system was disconnected in 2017, when SDS came to power and when the then-new Minister of Health, Arben Taravari, appointed a Clinic head”, Stoilkovski stressed.
